fimodo - a solid gold financial modelling resource!

There are several financial modelling forums available on the web but there have been none that I have felt with the quality and focus required for Navigator to formally publisice our services on or upon which to share my views on an ongoing meanginful basis. I am pleased to say this has changed, since August I have been a member of the financial modelling domain, fimodo.com which carries the straight forward strap line “financial modelling experts sharing their knowledge’.

What is fimodo?

Fimodo is unique in the way it is run, members submit quality financial modelling content that is screened for quality and professionally produced before it goes up on the site. Fimodo is already building up an impressive library of articles that you actually want to read! Even if you know the topic, having information presented in this manner makes it much more readable and more appealing to respond to. In return for regular financial modelling related content, 3 quality articles submitted up front and one a month thereafter Navigator is receiving what is quickly becoming valuable advertising space as well as my own profile information as a contributor. Whats financial modelling content is on fimodo?

There are regular round table discussions where the host asks a series of questions to a number of different panel members, each with a different point of view and area of expertise. Some recent articles include:
• Tips to master the balance sheet
• Applications of Data Validation in a Project Finance Model
• Debt sizing for minimum DSCR with VBA

…so you can see the content wide ranging but still focused on financial modelling with a bias towards the transactional aspect of financial modelling. These articles combined with some really interesting career interviews (including me!) makes for great reading.

Who runs this new financial modelling website?

The site is managed by Corality who are clearly on a mission to improve the standard of the worlds financial models and supplemented with a LinkedIn group which makes messaging and networking between members really easy.
